  1. The wall is touch sensitive, so obviously phelps touched first.

Did he deserve to win? No.

Is Cavic faster than him? Yes, and he should've won.

  2. Im not happy... Cavic touched the wall 1st, and he's a winner if you ask me

  3. I don't mind that Crocker still holds the WR or not. And I don't think that Cavic touched first. They showed a replay in slow motion of it afterwards, and Phelps touched first. He has longer arms.

  4. I'm glad that he still holds the record. And I DO think Phelps touched first. Afterall- The touch pad never lies.

But i just heard that somepeople are trying to protest it and it think it's ridiculous. He won. Get over it. It happenes.

  5. I like Ian Crocker so it is cool that he still holds the record.

I think Phelps touched first and the Gold is rightly his.  You touch first-you win; Simple as that. Both Phelps and Cavic swam a great race so they both "deserve" to win.  Any of the other swimmers would be"deserving" as well because they all work incredibly hard and are world class athletes. You can swim as fast as you want and be ahead the whole time but if you can't close and give that extra push at the end - you get the silver.  Any athlete who gets on the podium at the Olympics should be proud (and we should be proud of them)no matter the color the medal because so many participate and go home with only the memory of the games.

  6. I don't really care that Crocker still holds the World Record....we know that it is something phelps is going to try and  take away from him.

cavic didn't touch first.. he had a bad finish...if you watch the video..you can see that phelps took a stroke, when cavic just glided into the wall.. he lost a lot of momentum, and phelps touched first..... if he had taken another stroke, he would have won, and by more that .01 of a second

  7. i think he owned

    HE IS A BEAST!

  8. If you look at the slow-mo playback, you notice that Cavic has his hand and fingers pulled back. He didn't extend it. But Phelps has his hand and fingers extended to the max.

It was so a very close match between the two of them. The timer don't lie
