Michael Phelps vs Usain Bolt-who is the greater olympian?

Question

does 7 gold raise the issue of competitiveness of a sport? Or does it tell us how a man can be invincible?

is a human defined better on land where he belongs?

or should we say man shall not live on land alone?

My answer is Bolt. not by much though.  

Is there any doubt that if there were 8 track events Bolt wouldn't bring in 8 medals as well???  Phelps barely won one of his races where as Bolt just plain dominated his competition, even toyed with them.  And breaking two world records in Track, first in the 100M and then 200M is almost unheard of.   But dont get me wrong Phelps feat is also that dam amazing.

I don't know....how many gold medals will Bolt win? If he wins one or two then no he is just a great sprinter and doesn't need to be talked about that much...

If Bolt wins the 100, 200, 400, 800 and then wins hurdles and high jump then I would say he is greatest Olympian.

Its not how you dominate one event it is how versatile you are and can beat the best at those other events as well...

Phelps is already a three time Olympian (2000, 2004, 2008) and has won 14 gold medals, 16 total medals . He has set a total of 32 world records and currently holds seven of them.

Usain Bolt has one of Game, gold and world record.

Besides, Phelps has more class when he wins.

To win 7 golds I'd say Phelps is the better Olympian, cause he earned a lot in the Olympics.

But humans are land dwellers, not fish, so for Bolt to do what he did he should be the one to talk about.

they are both equally competitive sports...but Bolt really cant compare to the dominance of phelps. 6 Individual golds is quite hard to do.
