it's so amazing......and i'm really happy for him!

he's such a great guy who isn't cocky but really down to earth.........

i think he makes america so proud....and the fact that he has just so much natural talent and  that he focuses and trains so well enough to earn 8 gold medals is just incredible.....

it just so hard to describe how undeniably amazing he really is.......

i'm going to miss watching him race though..... = (

He must have some kind of cool genes or something that makes him really good. But, also I think the other swimmers who swam the other legs in the relay were really great also! Thank you.

I think it's a cool honor for our country. These guys head over to represent us but even while they gotta do their thing, most of them wanted to go watch Phelps swim because they knew it was something historic. It's awesome for him, and hopefully he can keep it up in 4 years.

it is obvious that he lost the 7th, he is a good swimmer, gotta give credit where credit is due, but he did lose the 7th race even if it was slight... there has to have been a computer malfunction or something

btw 8... that is insane... he's gonna burn out too soon

either that or he had taken steroids that can be easily bought from the chinese pharmaces
