Michael Schumacher – An Ideal Character.......Not!
The legendary driver Michael Schumacher has been in the sport since 1991 and it seems that since he joined one of the most watched sports in the world, God gifted him with a brain but obviously, it takes time to feed a brain with knowledge and Michael, well
he has been exceptionally slow in that field.
When Michael started racing in the Formula 1, one has to admit that he immediately made a name for himself as he finished in 4th place in his very first season in the sport but as we all know, Schumacher was born with a cartoon like figure and
therefore, he is obligated to live up to it. That is the reason why he makes such immature and child mistakes on track.
At first, when the seven time world champion joined Jordan, he was surrounded by legends like Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna so he did not have much chance of winning a title. Back then, Michael was just another rookie who proved that he has the potential
to win races keeping in mind that he is still the same driver that he is today.
The German driver got an opening after Alain Prost retired and Ayrton Senna passed away due to a car accident at the San Marino Grand Prix. Michael scored his first championship with team Benetton alongside Flavio Briatore in 1994 but one has to admit, if
Senna was still alive, Michael would not have been as big as he is.
Moving on, the German driver scored his 2nd championship the year after with Benetton and it was quite clear now that we were witnessing a legend in the making. However, if u feed a kid with too much liquorice, he gets addicted to it and becomes
stubborn. We can assume that Michael is an egoistic boy who was put in the same situation as he scored more wins and became more famous than he could handle. Therefore, the seven time world champion started giving the most pathetic and meaningless comments
one can expect from a driver of his calibre.
Michael’s list of stupidity is endless. The German driver has been involved in various penalty cases where he overtook drivers or collided with them after attempting the most pointless manoeuvres one can imagine.
In his earlier days, Schumacher tried to attempt such a move on the legendary Ayrton Senna and failed badly before colliding with Senna’s McLaren. But since Senna has been the opposite of Michael when it comes to character, the Brazilian phenom gave him
a piece of his mind after the collision which was quite embarrassing for Michael.
No one could have even dreamed back then that this same driver would beat every record Senna achieved and give us the amount of entertainment through his stupidity on his way to stardom. Schumacher recently returned to the sport after retiring for just 4
years. He retired after Fernando Alonso won two championships consecutively with the same person who helped Michael win his first championship Flavio Briatore in team Renault. Michael championship reign ended on a low note but the German was hoped to redeem
himself in 2010.
However, Michael won 5 consecutive championships with Ferrari and it was quite obvious that Ferrari focussed on Schumacher and was favouring him over his teammate Rubens Barrichello back then. Nevertheless, the German still made immature mistakes back then
and gave the most hilarious comments that proved that he is nothing without his team.
Recently, Michael tried a pathetic move on Rubens Barrichello and it was quite a horrific sight as the German really pushed Rubens to the limit and Barrichello nearly avoided a life threatening accident.
However, the seven time champion hopes to return to the sport once more in 2011 and entertain us with his amusing comments and child like manoeuvres.
