Michael Schumacher not concerned about anything
The 7 time world champion Michael Schumacher returned to Formula 1 with Mercedes this year after his departure from the sport in 2006. His fans were expecting a lot from him after his return but it seems that the German driver was unable to give a decent
performance and was criticized highly by critics, as his teammate Nico Rosberg outperformed him at almost every single race.
In conclusion, his reputation has been dented vitally but Michael claims that he is not concerned about what people think and he is back in Formula 1 to do what he does best and enjoy the sport at its fullest.
Michael Schumacher is one of the greatest drivers of all time without a shadow of doubt but it seems that he has been facing a lot of problems this season regarding the tyres and his car in general as well. He claims that the team built this car while keeping
Jenson Button’s likings in mind, and Michael is not used to that sort of car.
However, Schumacher hopes to stick around for another year in Formula 1 but this time, he claims that he is aiming for nothing less than victory.
“I enjoy it. I feel I have the right to do what I enjoy. Whether I put in dispute my reputation... I just feel good about my decision and I have so much support from people,” he told the Media.
He stated that he is still determined to race in the sport and perform at his best and hopefully, help Mercedes in every way he can in order to secure the best possible results next year.
“I certainly want to make it a successful return. I'm only happy if I'm back on the winning road with the team. This is what I'm working for, this is the joy of the passion for Formula One,” added the 7 time world champion.
However, Michael is aware that his return was quite disappointing and his fans did not get what they deserved in 2010 after such a groundbreaking return to the sport after 3 years.
“It's certainly not as successful as I thought initially and many other people have thought. But then having such a strong group and team behind, Mercedes pushing it so hard, I have no doubt about success in the future,” he said.
Mercedes team boss Ross Brawn is also aware of this situation and he claims that the team is working extremely hard for next season. According to what the team is coming up with until now, they believe that they will actively challenge for the title and
compete against the top running teams Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari in the 2011 Formula 1 season.
