Michael Schumacher targets to deliver his best in 2012 United States Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Mercedes driver Michael Schumacher has said that he is targeting to deliver his best in the 2012 United States Grand Prix which is going to be held at Circuit of The Americas in Austin this weekend.
Schumacher said that he is feeling really excited about the forthcoming race and is eagerly looking forward to drive on a completely new venue. Moreover, he said that he is keenly waiting to see the love and support of the American fans and praised the design
of the new circuit.
“I'm really excited to see what kind of track we will find and to see if the American fans will embrace our sport,” Schumacher said. “From the pictures and layouts of the circuit that I have already seen, everything looks very good.”
Furthermore, he expressed that it really feels nice to race at an entirely new circuit in the calendar and insisted that he is going to try his best to perform well for his team this weekend.
“I think Formula One will put on a good show at the Circuit of the Americas, and naturally I will be giving my best to be a part of that,” the veteran German driver added.
In addition, he said that he has always cherished his visit to the USA and is enthusiastically waiting for the upcoming race.
“It will be very exciting to race in the USA again and I'm really looking forward to our visit,” the seven-time world champion said.
Besides, he said that the track of the approaching race provides good opportunities for overtaking which will make it an interesting race for all the drivers.
Additionally, he said that they are trying their best to come up stronger in the last two races with the essential step-ups in their car and are aiming to attain competitive points in order to secure a good position in this year’s championship.
The record championship holder has decided to say goodbye to the sport at the end of this year and it will be extremely exciting to see how he performs in the last two grands prix of the current season.
