Michael Schumacher “tingling” with anticipation for 2011
Michael Schumacher is anticipating embracing a very exciting and fun filled 2011 season that will also help him clear the damage caused to his reputation this season. The driver proclaimed that he is already “tingling” with eagerness while he waits to enter
the 2011 Formula One season.
The driver assured the media earlier today that his next year’s Mercedes car is going to be far more competitive than this year. Despite the poor 2010 season, he is hopeful for a very strong comeback next year.
Although his return to Formula One at the start of this year, after having stayed away from the sport for a period of three years, was welcomed whole heartedly by his fans, yet all through the season he was not even able to show the shadow of the old ‘Schumi’
the race lovers have always worshiped. At one after the other race his fans as well as his team was disappointed by the poor performance of the racer. Finally, by the mid of the season, all race analysts started believing that the icon has made a big mistake
by coming back to the track. Still, Schumacher is far from disappointed. He believes that the next season is going to be better and all his fans will soon to forget the poor shows of 2010. This time, he is confident that Mercedes will provide him with a car
that will allow him to get back to winning ways.
While expressing his anticipation this Wednesday, the driver said “I look forward to some quiet days with my family over Christmas but I also notice that I am going all tingly already thinking about next year. We ended the season with a positive feeling
and things were starting to come together with a tendency that was clearly positive. And from a physical point of view, the year wasn't very demanding for me.”
Although he is happy to have a break after such an intense season, which never went short of criticism and condemnation for the driver, Schumacher says that he cannot wait to begin the battle again on the 2011 grid. He further stated that he has been visiting
the factory every now and then, to check the development of the new car, which so far gives him a lot of confidence. He assured that next year will surely make the Brackley based squad bag a number of podiums and some race wins as well.
Only one year back when the seven times world champion signed a 3-year deal with Mercedes GP on 22nd of Dec, similar vows were made by him as well as by his team. However, all through the season the driver has neither been able to win any race
nor was seen on the podium even once. Still, his fans are happy for whatever he says. This is surely because the German has shown wonders and miracles on the race tracks many times during his early career and is the best driver ever in Formula One world, with
91 race wins and 7 championships to his name.
Schumacher assured his fans saying, “Fighting for the world championship is still our goal, it can only be like this. Hey, we are Mercedes! But this is a three-year project, and even if obviously it would be nicer if it worked out sooner, we are talking
about competing at the absolute peak of motorsport. You cannot just come along, put a new team together and beat everybody. But you can be sure that we are working very hard with all our combined power to achieve our aims.”
