Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles beat down the Washington Redskins
Round two of in the battle of Donovan McNabb and Michael Vick went to the latter. It wasn’t even close. The Philadelphia Eagles avenged their loss to the Washington Redskins with a 59-28 victory on Monday
Night Football at FedEx Field.
Philadelphia scored touchdowns on its first five possessions and Washington (4-5) looked just as bad as their record.  It was a historic night as Vick led the Eagles to 28 points in the first quarter.
This is the most points that a road team has scored in the opening quarter in the NFL’s history.

Vick opened the scoring with an 88-yard touchdown pass to DeSean Jackson. On the next drive, Vick rushed seven yards out for a score and on the team’s third possession, LeSean McCoy took a shovel pass
from Vick and walked in for the score from 11 yards out. At this point, Vick was a perfect eight-for-eight and threw for, 181 yards and two touchdowns.
"I've had some great games in my day," Vick said. "But I don't think I've had one quite like this one."
With a 21-point lead in the first quarter Philadelphia decided that give the running game a try. On a night where the Eagles could do no wrong, running-back Jerome Harrison busted a 50-yard run for the
major. Unfortunately for the Redskins, things did not get any better in the second quarter. Vick continued his assault on the Redskins’ secondary and threw a 48-yard jump ball to Jeremy Maclin to make it 35-0.
"We just got embarrassed, from start to finish," Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said. "It's frustrating to go out there on national TV and play the way we played. Anybody that was watching that game
thought it was a joke."
The Redskins finally got on the board after McNabb connected with Keiland Williams on a 6-yard touchdown.
When it was all set and done, Vick completed 20 of 28 for 333 yards and four scores and two rushing touchdowns.
"I'm proud of him [Vick]," Eagles coach Andy Reid said after his quarterback led  the offence to a franchise-record 592 net yards. "He led our football team, our offence, the way you're supposed to lead
it. He was in charge out there."

The stunning collapse by the Redskins has allowed the now 6-3 Eagles to jump back into the playoff race. This is the Eagles’ second straight victory as they gain momentum down the stretch.
McNabb was less  impressive in his rematch against his former team, throwing for 295 yards and two touchdowns and three interceptions.
