Michael Wasley hails Paul Mount for his help: 2012 UK Players Tour Championship Event 1
With impressive performance in the 2012 World Snooker Qualifying School (Q School), England’s Michael Wasley was able to book his place in the pro circuit tour. He participated in the first two events of the new snooker season but was unable to make it to
the initial stages of those events.
He dropped out of the 2012 Wuxi Classic snooker event after he lost in the second round while in the 2012 Australian Goldfields Open qualifying session, he could reach the third round where he lost to Nigel Bond.
The emerging English potter is now getting ready to take part in the 2012 UK Players Tour Championship (UKPTC) where he will be facing the Thai potter James Wattana in the opening round of the event. The contest will be commenced at the South West Snooker
Academy in Gloucester which is being run by Paul Mount. The contest will be a thrilling event because many big guns of the game along with some rookies.
Wasley was in good shape in the previous major ranking snooker events but failed to improvise and tumbled down. He appreciated the owner of the South West Snooker Academy, Mount, because he was the one who urged Wasley to start his professional run in the
new season.
While speaking to the local media, Wasley said, “Paul has been a rock to me and always believed in me and with the facilities we have it gives me the best opportunity to go on an be a successful professional. I am proud I've been able to use those and become
a professional, but it's all down to Paul and the support I have had.”
He added, “There are lots more tournaments now and that means that there is much more match practice to be had.”
Wasley is all set to take on Wattana in the event and believes that he can perform well against the Thai cueman. He has never played against Wattana before so he cannot tell what kind of problems or resistance he will be facing against him. It will be an
exciting encounter as both players will be looking to battle it out and take the early initiative for a dominating victory.
