Americans write their dates differently to ours, hence the first answer.

For the record, Michael was born on 23rd November 1991 and Louis was born on 5th January 1993.

So, Ryan would currently be 16 years and 11 months and Louis 15 years and 8 months - which would make Michael 1 year and 3 months older then Louis.
