Honestly,I'm getting kind of annoyed.Everything at the Olympics is "Michael Phelps this,Michael Phelps that,hey let's talk about what Michael Phelps eats"...but I don't blame him,I blame the media.It's to be expected when you're accomplishing something outstanding.

No,  I don't think so at all.  He knows what he wants and goes after it.  The French relay team were egomaniacs and got "smashed" as they said they wanted to do to the US.  That's an egomaniac, overly sure of themselves being kind.  Michael does not show it if he is.

If you think that Michael Phelps is an egomaniac, it's probably because you don't know anything about Mark Spitz. If you look up "arrogant S.O.B." in the dictionary, I think there is a picture of Mark right there....

Phelps can seriously do whatever he wants.  When someone is that amazing at something, they can have as big of an ego as they want.

I don't think so. He seems like a very grounded person, but he can´t get away from the media because they don't let him. He gets all kinds of publicity because he is a very talented and gifted athlete. Sometimes the media is the sole responsible.
