Micheal Katsidis and Joel Casamayor?

I thought that Micheal Katsidis was the better fighter, if he didnt get caught i thought he wouldve won the fight. But he did lose, but he showed heart, a good chin taking flush shots, alot of stamina, alot of pressure like ricky hatton, and he showed great power, he showed one punch power which nobody has in this division including nate cambell and diaz. Casamayor is slick and fast but got hit alot and looked vulnerable under pressure. But he showed straight punches and knocked the younger fighter out. So where do you see these guys going next. Casamayor rran into cambell after the fight, and katsidis looks like one of the most exciting fighters in the sport, iw ould love too see a guys like katsidis fight juan diaz, but where do you rank both these guys among the lightweight division?

  1. I have seen MK in the gym sparring and I can tell you from 1st hand experience, HE HAS NO LEFT HAND!! NO JAB, NO HOOKS & NO REAL KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO USE HIS LEFT other then to paw with it to get in close and bang away. He doesn't have real power he has decent pop thats it! Give him somebody who will sit in front of him & he will look good but get him in with an actual boxer & look at what happens. His chin isn't there either every time he got caught clean he buckled by Casamayor who isn't known as a power puncher, in fact he only has 22 out of 36 wins by ko.

By the way I will be the 1st to say it Billy Dibb is HORRIBLE, he fought on the under card, BAD PRO BUT A RELLY GOOD AMATEUR!!

  2. I think Casamayor proved he still has it would love to see him fight pacman or barrera like he said after the fight. Casamayor had got tired in the mid rounds but think by round 8 or 9 he got his legs back under him and Katsidis was careless in the 10th round and ran into that left hook , otherwise katsidis would have won. Either way was another great fight , wouldnt mind seeing a rematch either. I think Casamayor is pretty much the best lightweight out there still , not sure how high I would rate Katsidis but hes young and will defitnly be back , hes still learning though and needs to work more in gym but i think he will go somewhere eventualy.

  3. I think Cassamayor is the man once again after taking a lot of heat for his controversial decision over Santa Cruz. He is definitely near the end of his career and since he has already beaten Nate Campbell before and it isn't a huge money fight for him I would expect him to try and land a fight with a big name like Manny Pacquiao, Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morrales or even Juan Manuel Marquez. In less than three fights I think he should retire though as he has had an extremely long amatuer career (300+fights) in Cuba even before starting his professional career here.

As for Katsidis I like the idea of a fight with Juan Diaz unfortunately although it would be an exciting fight, I think Diaz would wear him down and knock him out. He just seems a lot thicker and bullish. Diaz has proven he can take punches and like Katsidis always moves forward. Despite the loss with a few adjustments I think Juan would be the number 1 lightweight today. If I were Katsidis I would target Julio Diaz or Amir Khan to put himself back up in the top 10. Then hopefully he could score a match with David Diaz for his title.

  4. yes like Hatton, always go and go to look the fight

Kadsidis was, wining, and he look from the nockout in the 10 round,

if he, was patiant, he may win,

i dont like, that the refere stop the fight, maybe Katisidis, have being stay, some more seconds,

and yes, a good fight in future could be, Diaz vs Katsidis, the 2, loose the undefeated record, and another could be Casamayor vs Campbell, wbo, unification, interin champion vs world champion

    good luck everybody
