http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 left winger, Michel Bastos, has received an offer from the Italian giants, Juventus FC. However, the player’s agent has claimed that Inter Milan have also joined the bidding race for the player and are keen to lure the Brazilian to San
Siro.
Bastos’ agent, Emmanuel Kerchove, confirmed the reports and revealed that the Nerazzurri have made the initial contact with Les Gones. However, he repeated that Juve are still in the pole position with a lucrative offer. While talking to the media personnel,
Kerchove said:
"I confirm the interest from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 in Bastos, but the Bianconeri have moved first, and they have presented a concrete offer. He does not have a preference for Inter or Juventus. He likes football and wants to play.”
Bastos is currently under a contract at Stade de Gerland until the summer of 2013 and the team is not too keen to let go of the asset. However, the Italians are pushing forward to make the player put pen to the paper and a summer transfer could eventually
take place in the coming days.
Juventus FC are looking forward to add new names to the roster and are in search of quality players. In this regard, they have recently signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Reto-Ziegler-c30895 and currently, they are looking to materialize a deal with
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Udinese-Calcio-c40789 for Gokhan Inler.
Juve were considered to be the most likely stop for Bastos for the next season, but recent reports from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 reveal that Inter are making progress to offer a bid to OL. According to the Italian news network, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter would place the
bid sometime in the next week.
Juve and Inter are both looking to make a difference in the upcoming season as the teams failed to achieve the targets they had set. Juve are looking to regain their lost glory and plan a comeback to the top runners of the league, whereas the Nerazzurri
failed to defend the 2009/10 treble this season and are keen to relive their victories at multiple fronts once more.
