In a move that might have surprised and perhaps angered the fans, Olympique Lyonnais winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michel-Bastos-c25461 has reportedly agreed a move to German Bundesliga giants, Schalke 04. And, this has also been confirmed by the player himself who says that although
he is not one hundred percent sure about anything regarding his future with Lyon.
“No, I’m not 100% certain to stay. It’s better for me to stay. But if there is something that appeals to both parties, we will have discussions,” said the player while giving an interview to Le Progres this morning.
And, it now appears that Bastos has finally embraced the prospect of leaving the gates of Stade de Gerland. According to German daily Bild, Bastos has indeed agreed in principle over a move to Schalke 04 after talking to the club’s sporting director, Horst
Heldt. This is indeed good news for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Blues who are seriously struggling in the German Bundesliga this season.
Reports claim that the club from the Ruhr region is willing to pay five million euros for the services of Bastos, which is very far away from the eight million euros that Lyon president, Jean-Michel Aulas who only yesterday, assured that the Rhone club is
not necessarily obliged to sell Bastos during an interview with beIN sport.
Although he wants to reduce the club’s current group to 25 from 27, Aulas still feels that Bastos’ performance and presence will play a big role in his team’s quest for ending their long Ligue 1 trophy drought.
As things stand, Les Gones are in first place in the Ligue 1 standings and are followed closely by the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127. Although Remi Garde knows that the club needs to slash down the wage bill considerably, the French
tactician would also loath to part with a player who has been in great form for his side since making a return from injury just a few months back.
