The former Ballon d’Or winner believes that the young players need to stay and develop in France, rather than moving to foreign clubs.
UEFA President and former France international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michel-c25453 Platini went on to state that the young French players should prefer staying with their own country rather than moving abroad on early age. The 57-year-old believes that these players need to spend their
youth in France, instead of seeking financial perks and rewards. Platini believes that these players need to be advised in such matters are the future of the nation.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international blames the youngsters for their lack of patience. He believes that the players want everything early at their young age, instead of waiting for the right time, which is one of the main reasons for the players to depart their
French clubs. He explained:
“What's annoying is that today, we want everything straightaway. Their entourage asks them to leave immediately and get what they can get. So, you need to have good advice, they have time to leave later.”
The former Juventus star believes that the younger players need to understand the fact that playing in your home country provides you an opportunity to grown and improve yourself as a better player. Players tend to move to bigger clubs where they’re rewarded
financially along with the chance to play on the big level. However, in doing so, they seem to limit their growth by facing situations such as lack of playing time. Such kind of problems wouldn’t have suffered by the youngsters if they were to pay for their
previous clubs.
The President went on to explain his situation as an example for the youngsters to follow. He believes that the players should spend most of their young career in playing for French clubs, as they are the prized asset of the country. The 57-year-old stated:
“I left when I was 27. You've had the time to live several different lives in football, and not leave at 20 and waste some of your qualities. I understand why there are some who go. The economic aspect is important today, I understand they're interested,
but they could go later.”
