The president of Yankee fans association of OM blasted coach Didier Deschamps for blaming the fans for the team’s woeful performances
Things have not gone down this season for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127. However, this is not the end of the club’s problems. Mired in financial burden, Les Phoceens should brace themselves for a hectic transfer market this summer as they are likely to lose several
key players.
Furthermore, the club needs to sell players in order to bring in replacements that are most likely to be cheaper and inexperienced. For the club’s supporter, the club’s fall from grace is hard to digest.
And for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michel-c25453 Tonini, the president of the Yankees supporter group of Olympique de Marseille, the situation does not look a pretty sight at all.
While talking to reporters, the Frenchman gave his view on a disastrous campaign and also spoke about the current coach and the transfer market.
Tonini unfortunately, does not have the resources available to help the club financially and chose to mock the leaders for the way they carried things out.
Throughout the whole campaign, coach Didier Deschamps has been moaning about not being able to buy players he wanted and after a run of poor results in the first half of the campaign, asked fans to stay at home if they only wanted to boo the team.
Tonini says that Deschamps is wrong for blaming fans for everything and that the team’s bad performances were not because of the fans who pay so much money to watch them play.
“Our wonderful coach comes and blames fans for not being faithful enough and encouraged them not to come to the stadium. It has even become the fault of the fans if OM was bad. Didier Deschamps was entitled to 80 million Euros for recruitment in three years.
he succeeded to lower OM’s level every year.”
Certainly, blaming fans for the team’s poor performance is one thing, telling them not to come to the stadium is something far too insensitive coming out from a man of Deschamps’ status. Under bad economic circumstances, fans still find enough money to come
and watch their beloved side and it is only fair that they let their feelings no if the team is not giving them a worth for their money.
