Los Nervionenses have had an inauspicious start to the league campaign; they are 7th on the points table after seven La Liga outings. However, with a victory against Spanish champions Real Madrid to boast off, Michel’s charges have a lot to show
for.

“I was always support him, he is haunted by the press,” the former Getafe trainer commented at a press conference.
Explaining his stance, Michel stated that media personnel are intimidated by Medel’s character, whilst also accusing them for taking things out of context when the midfielder is concerned.
“These people prey on the skin of the beleaguered. There Medel is a character and they bother you. Often things are taken out of context; he allegedly assaulted the journalist, but there is no injury.
“Medel feels harassed, he's single, he's handsome. He will play on Monday if logic prevails.”
Michel also took out time to praise Real Mallorca manager, Joaquin Caparros. He hailed the former La Roja manager for his legacy at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, whilst also praising his accomplishments at the Estadi Iberostar.
“Caparros is unique in the contemporary history of Sevilla, he has left his mark. Mallorca have a very clear identity, their players are strong.”
