Michele Caroli losses a big hand to Steve O’Dwyer

With Steve O’Dwyer throwing in 100,000 more in the pot from the button raiser, Michele Caroli made the call from the big blind, having eight of clubs and seven of diamonds in his hand. A queen of spades, jack of clubs and seven
of spades hit the flop and O’Dwyer, having an ace of hearts and four of clubs under his sleeves, made a huge bluff of 95,000, with Caroli calling. A three and two of spades on the board wrapped up the hand for O’Dwyer.
Michele Caroli Eliminated in third place by Edoardo Alescio

Aggressive Alescio threw all his chips in the pot, inducing Caroli to call the bet. With an ace of clubs and jack of spades in his hand, Caroli went all-in and the flop hit the board as a nine of diamonds, five and three of clubs.
Eight of spades on the turn and two of diamonds on the river ensured that Alescio’s ace of spades and queen of clubs prevail over Caroli’s cards, busting him from the final table in the third place. Alescio then went on one-on-one with O’Dwyer and eventually
claimed the championship title by the end of Sunday night.
