Michele Pirro says he likes the Aragon circuit because of his Moto2 debut – MotoGP news
Michele Pirro of San Carlo Honda Gresini likes the Aragon circuit because he made his Moto2 career debut there, with Honda Gresini.
He believes that they will be able to fight for the top positions in the Claiming Rule Teams (CRT) because he was able to close the gap with them at the Misano circuit.
He liked the race at the Italian circuit because the events were organised remembering late Marco Simoncelli. Simoncelli died in a devastating accident during a race and holds emotional significance among most of the riders.
The Italian rider was able to finish the Misano race at the 10th position. He told that they had started the race from scratch and were able to attain their targets by closing gap with them. Their target was to make a strong finish at the Italian GP. The
Honda Gresini rider remains confident on the Spanish circuit considering their past achievement and anticipates that they will able to edge other CRTs.
Pirro said, “Misano was a fantastic and exciting weekend with all the events organised for Marco and the result has given me a lot of confidence. We started from scratch at Misano with the goal of making a strong finish to the championship and I am confident
we can continue in the same way from here. We have closed the gap to the top CRTs and I am confident that in the next round s we can be fighting to be ahead of them.”
Furthermore, the Italian rider told that he likes the Aragon circuit because he started his Moto2 career with Honda Gresini team, there. He started his Moto2 career in 2010 while he started his MotoGP career in the current season.
Qualifying at the 10th position is an impressive performance for Pirro because he has started his MotoGP career in the current year. Until now, he has only been able to make in the top ten riders, twice, while he retired in 6 of the 13 races started.
Let’s see how the Honda Gresini rider Pirro makes it to the finish line in the upcoming Aragon Grand Prix because the mixed structure of the circuit will require extensive strategies and it is also forecasted that it may rain during the weekend.
