Opening the second qualifying round of the Bell Challenge 2011 was number one seed Michelle Larcher De Brito and Swiss Amra Sadikovic. The two were meeting for the first time on indoor hard courts of PEPS Laval University Campus,
Quebec City, Canada. Portuguese Brito won the match in straight sets of 6-0, 6-4 in one hour and nine minutes of play.
After winning the toss, Michelle serving with great confidence held her serve in the first game and in the second broke Amra to take a 2-0 lead. She again won on her respective serve and in the fourth broke her opponent by surging
towards the net to produce a sensational stretched volley. The Swiss had clearly lost the way here as she was broken for the second time in the set. The score was 5-0 for Michelle as she held her serve in the fifth game and was now looking to break her opponent
for the third and last time. In the next game as Amra served for the match Michelle broke her and sealed a flawless victory of the first set.

of back hand winners and benefitted from three double faults and a number of errors made by Amra.
Opening the second set with a greater resoluteness was Michelle again and the two won on their respective serves in the first two games. In the third game Amra was first to break and by holding her serve in the fourth game took
the lead of 3-1 Michelle broke back in the fifth game and held her serve in the sixth. She then went on to breaking Amra for the second time to level the game at 4-4. As she held her serve in the ninth game, she went on to break her Swiss adversary for the
last time with her powerful forehand that forced an error form Amra.
