Michelle Wie adopts gluten-free diet plan
Michelle Wie is being extra careful with her health these days, as she has been put on a new diet plan that is sure to keep her fit.
Sharing her thoughts about a gluten-free diet she has recently added in her schedule, Wie said that she is seeing good results and now she is feeling far healthier than ever before.
Wie stated that she adopted the latest diet routine after getting inspired by Novak Djokovic, the famous tennis star.
The tennis prodigy reportedly started taking the same diet a couple of months back and saw impressive results with his health.
Wie is regarded as one of hottest golfers in women’s golf and she has been associated with different diet programmes with a number of entities.
In 2010, the 22-year-old American inked a deal with McDonald’s, a famous food chain, which also stressed healthy diets and encouraged people to be careful with their meal plans.
In addition to meal plans, Wie has been receiving trainings to keep her body strength intact. She worked with Paul Gagne, who helped her improve her upper body’s strength.
The American golf star said that she had been keeping an eye on the tennis star and was heavily impressed at how fast he became gluten free.
She informed that in order to play her best on the course, she needs to make sure she is fit and agile. Wie is in Singapore these days where she is going to participate in HSBC Women’s Champions this week.
Although the new diet routine is designed to give her the much-needed strength, it is hard to predict how she will fare against her rivals on the course.
She acknowledged that ever since she started taking the gluten-free meal, she has been seeing surprising results.
She also spoke to AFP, saying her decision is really keeping her pumped up and she hopes that the coming events will see her in new shape.
Wie recently revealed on a social media website that she is susceptible to allergy and often faces trouble gripping the club.
She told that her meal routine had been messed up, which took a toll on her digestive system. "I am allergic to everything in this world, I don't really digest food very well," Wie said.
She said that after trimming gluten from her body, she has overcome her allergic problem to a great extent.
