Michelle Wie gears up for major battle at Ricoh Women's British Open 2012

American Michelle Wie may have missed some good chances to win a title in the current season, but she is eager to steal the show at the coming Ricoh Women’s British Open 2012, set to start from September 13-16,
at Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Wirral, United Kingdom.
Michelle rose to fame not only due to her skills on the course, but also because of her celebrity-like stature. However, she has not been able to prove her mettle on the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association)
tournaments for the last two years — something her fans say will put a drag on her past successes.
Despite faltering and struggling to end her seemingly long drought, Wie is being expected to do something amazing at the Ricoh Women’s British Open 2012 as she has vowed to avoid making the same mistakes this
time.
The hype of British Open — one of the major events co-sanctioned by the LPGA — is evident from the fact that fans are eagerly waiting for their favourite stars to set foot on the course on September 13 and
tee off.
Moreover, the officials of the major tournament have unveiled a big poster featuring top contenders on it. With current world number one Yani Tseng holding up a trophy in the middle, players like Suzann Pettersen,
Paula Creamer and Michelle Wie are visible.
Despite the adrenaline and all the excitement, Wie likes to focus on her game as she said while speaking to the media that she is training hard on the practice range and has been able to fix some fatal flaws
in her game. Wie, who has always been known for her solid putting, is working hard on her strokes.
She said that her confidence is high — despite her having failed to do her best in most of the recent tournaments. Michelle went on to say that she has plenty of time to tune up her game before she is due to
be teeing off at the Ricoh Women’s British Open 2012.
“I have a couple of months to get my game in great shape for Royal Liverpool and I will be working extremely hard and  getting all the advice I can from my coach David Leadbetter as to how best to tackle this
famous course,” the American golfer said.
