Michelle Wie to play on PGA tour in 2 weeks. What does she have to lose or gain?

What are the pros and cons for her playing another PGA event right now?

Pros -

  she will play on a tougher course

Cons -

  she will finish in last place, if she doesn't get DQ'd or withdraws

  she will blame the fires in CA for tough breathing conditions to give herself an out.

  she will be one step closer to that s*x change.

Well I think she has plenty to gain and lose by playing. If she at least makes the cut, she will make history as the first woman to make the cut since 1946, she will gain more respect from her fans, and get a paycheck. If she doesnt make the cut her critics will continue to beat her up, her confidence against the men will drop even more, making her dreams unrealistic, even if she makes the cut it wont be that impressive as the top players wont be there.

I wonder if she realizes that the folks at the Reno-Tahoe open are just using her as a publicity stunt for ratings and interest. The real golfers are going to be playing at the World Golf Championships, making this event just a step above the Nationwide tour.

Do you want a true opinion ? WHO REALLY CARES !! The old man got the 10 million  from some sponsor who had more money than brains. Michelle, sophomore at Stanford University, can't remember to sign a score card ? We are not talking " rocket science". Our local golf association stresses this to every contestant  at each tournament, to sign as scorer and attest as competitor. Our juniors are taught that at the country club and the State tournaments. There is no excuse for her apparent stupidity. There have already been too many foul-ups in her career. She deserves no accolades or sympathy. As Judge Judy says " We shouldn't reward stupidity ".

First of shes never won a tournament. So, its going to be some trouble for her. She has more things to gain than lose like CONFIDENCE thats going to be the key with her.

The cons are 1) she can't win on the PGA tour; 2) she needs to qualify for the LPGA tour and therefore needs to get up on the money list and wont do that by playing on the PGA tour; 3) she needs to work on her game in a forum where she can actually win, the Duramed tour seems to be her steam :)
