Does anyone have any Michigan Ghost stories????

I am thinking of launching a website dedicated to maintain an online library of Michigan ghost stories, though it would be affilated and ran by my group, We just love hearing and giving answers to people who have stories share. I really don't know where to begin... Due to the slow progress of my group right now it might be a way to start the summer. I really need the public opinion on starting this , coming from each one of you as an indvidual what should the contents of this site have? What would bring people to this? What would you look for? It also would link other groups from other states in it's own section on the site.

  1. I'm pretty sure there's already a website that does this: www.theshadowlands.net  They've compiled stories from all 50 states, and a little over 40 other countries.

It's still a good idea though, I would pursue it.

  2. I visit a lot of sites on the paranormal and I like a site to be well-organized and easy to navigate. Some homepages are such a mess that I just go somewhere else. I also look for detailed and unusual information. Some sites just give the same little paragraphs about the exact same haunted locations. Cool photos are also a big plus.

You are fortunate because Michigan has such an awesome history of hauntings and strange creatures. May I suggest that you speak with some of the local Native Americans, as not very many people cover their stories or their side of things and they have a lot to offer.

    Best of luck!

As far as other sites from Michigan:

  3. Hey, Ryan, I noticed on your website one city you investigated is Saginaw. I do not know if that is where you are based or not, but meetup.com has 31 people waiting for someone like you to start a meetup in that area. Here is the link http://ghosts.meetup.com/cities/us/mi/sa...

If that is not your city then search meetup.com for your city and it will list people interested in ghost meetups.

A meetup can take any direction you want it to go. You can have meetings based on peoples experiences and you can recruit people for your team.  It Will give you access to people who want to learn, want to investigate and want to talk and discuss.

Please let me know if this helps or not. Email me anytime.

If you go to the link I posted I believe you will find the 31 people waiting for someone to start a meetup. If Saginaw is too far look in your city and there should be people waiting for someone to start a meetup or there may already be one in your area that you can share stories and experiences and investigations with.
