Michigan State University does not allow their freshmen to have cars or is it base of how many credits you have?

If you have a car going into MSU what would be the best thing to do with it... sell it, or just pay tickets?

  1. If you have a friend who is a sohpomore, junior, or senior who doesn't have a car on campus, you could try having them sign up for a permit and putting it on your car. You could get caught doing that, though. If your dorm is near some off-campus housing, you might be able to work out an agreement with a resident to park in front of their house for the year. They will probably want money. If I were to go to WVU, it would be a bit of a walk from the freshmen lot to my dorm, anyway, if that makes you feel better about a long walk from your car to your dorm.

JMU and Mary Washington, among numerous other colleges, don't allow freshmen to have cars on campus either. It's actually a huge factor for me in whether I'm going to apply to a school or not haha. You finally get to be a senior in high school and then bam, you're at the bottom again.
