Question:

Michigan state!?

im a freshman going to be a sophmore next year..when i apply my junior year to state what do you think the grade point average will be needed? and SATS?

  1. I think you mean senior year of high school unless you're currently at another college and want to transfer there.

    But for right now it seems like the average GPA is 3.5 but they do accept students with lower GPAs so if your GPA isn't 3.5 when you get to the application process don't freak out, as long as you have strong points on your college application you should be alright.

    As for SATs it looks like a big math school so probably a 570 on Math would be good, 550 on Reading and 530 on Writing would be average. Again don't freak out if your SAT scores aren't at those levels, there's a lot of other things that colleges look at in the application process.

    Also just one quick thing that came to mind: you've got a lot of time to think about college and your mind most likely will change over the coming years. I really wanted to go to Boston College back when I was a freshman but now I'm looking at Northeastern as my best fit. Things like college size (MSU is a huge school) and co-op programs will have to factor into your decision before you make a firm committment to any school.
