Swansea City midfielder, Michu, has praised the Swans playing philosophy, and is facing no problems whatsoever attuning himself to the club’s style of play.
The Spanish International insisted that his team’s approach was pretty much the same as what he saw in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, and does not need to make any adjustments in his game in order to succeed in the Premier League.
The south http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041 outfit signed the 26-year old this summer for a mediocre 2 million pounds transfer fee from Rayo Vallecano.
So far, the midfielder has experienced a fairytale start to life at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, bagging four goals in four appearances.
Swansea caught the attention of the football world last season, for their eye catching brand of fluent passing and possession retaining football. Their playing philosophy, which is quite similar to that of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, earned them the nickname of ‘Swanselona’,
while some people have started to call them the ‘Spanish Armada’.
Michu revealed that he has felt at home, ever since he joined the Welsh club in summer. He explained that the entire model in Swansea was similar to that of a lot of Spanish clubs, and that he does not need to boast a strong physique in order to survive
in the Premier League.
“The workouts are similar to what I was doing in Spain because Laudrup more or less the same as he when he was in charge at Getafe or Mallorca,” he told the reporters.
“It is true that the rivals are more physical. But to play in Swansea you do not need much physical because we want to play it like Barca.”
Swansea, who were once languishing in the Football League Two, caught everyone’s attention last term, as they finished eleventh in the table in their debut EPL appearance.
The Spaniard praised the achievements of his club over the last couple of years, and feels that they are now in a position to beat any team in the world on their day.
“Swansea is a family club which was in the third level four or five years ago and is now competing with the best teams in the country and most of the world,” he added.
