Mick Halford’s globe-trotting charge Invincible Ash to compete at Royal Ascot
Invincible Ash, trained by Mick Halford for owner, P.J. Condron, might compete at Royal Ascot since she reached County Kildare, her home base, from her trip to Singapore.
The talented seven-year-old mare has recorded some impressive victories in her career, and she will definitely not stop here.
The daughter of Invincible Spirit, out of mare Fully Fashioned, finished as a runner-up in the Attijari Points Rewards Program at Meydan, where she narrowly missed the victory by 1 ¼ lengths to, Soul, on 1st March, 2012.
The bay mare demonstrated her superior racing capabilities when she took the Meydan Sprint Sponsored By Emirates Sky Cargo by storm, and emerged victorious at Meydan on 10th March, 2012.
With jockey Jamie Spencer on her back, she was guided to victory despite her slim chance at 20-1, as she defeated Edward Lynam’s Sole Power by a short-head.

This was possibly one of the best performances of her career, which demonstated her true potential.
Invincible Ash faced a setback after her victory as she finished in seventh place in both the starts that followed, but this does not indicate that she lacks talent.
A lot of options lie ahead of the runner and she has the capability to excel in each of them, but her trainer is being cautious. He emphasised that he will not run his mare in the same race as Black Caviar.
Halford is counting on her victory in the Woodies D.I.Y. Sapphire Stakes, which she claimed last June under rider, G.F. Carroll, and defeated Tim Easterby’s charge, Hamish McGonagall by 1 length.
The experience runner might run to defend her title in this as the trainer stated:
"We'll just see how she is over the next week or so and then make a plan from there, but there are plenty of options for her.
"She could go to Royal Ascot and if she does go there, she'll go for the King's Stand. I think we'll leave Black Caviar to herself in the Diamond Jubilee.
"She won on Derby day at the Curragh last year in the Sapphire Stakes and she could also run in that again, so we'll see."
