Mick Hennessy: Channel 5 to witness an epic bout between Tyson Fury and Martin Rogan - Boxing news
Mick Hennessy, CEO Hennessy sports and one of the most prolific boxing manager, recently announced an epic clash between Tyson Fury and Martin Rogan which will be televised on Channel 5 on April 14, 2012.
Both pugilists will collide in Odyssey Arena situated in Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. The announcement of the non-title bout was made in front of the two brawlers and both men later on shared their comments on the classic engagement. Tyson
Fury is being denoted as one of the best heavyweight brawlers who is surging up the rankings swiftly.
Fury, who hails from Ireland, has been in a total 17 brawls and came out victorious in all. He has collected 12 of his wins by knocking the opponent out cold. Martin, on the other hand, is also a brawler who is feared by most in the division. He has entered
the ring a total 16 times and lost just two bouts against Sam Sexton.
Rogan, infamous as the Rogie or Ironman, despite of being 40, thanked the organisers and Tyson Fury as well for accepting his challenge.
Martin said, “I’m a great heavyweight, I’ve proved that by beating Matt Skelton, the undefeated and un-knocked out guy, I beat Audley Harrison, so I got the pedigree to do the business on the 14 April and that’s what I intend to do.”
Tyson who was asked to comment about the current settlement, revealed the facts as to how the things got streamlined. Fury said, “Well we sat down and it’s been a long decision, the fight has been off and on two or three times and it was suppose to happen
last year when I fought at the Kings Hall and like you said before it’s politics that got in the way of the boxing match and that’s what it’s not about.”
Tyson while praising his old yet determined challenger said that he is a great fan of Martin and to fight against an individual whom you idealise is a dream come true. The bout is definitely in favour of Tyson since he is young and has an invincible winning
streak which boasts wins over men such as Dereck Chisora and others.
But Rogan excitedly claimed that he will give Tyson a real tough time and will not allow his senses go out easily. Fury also replied enthusiastically and stated that he can predict only one thing, the bout will be epic and worth watching and will stun the
whole boxing universe.
