France international goalkeeper, Mickael Landreau sent shockwaves throughout the French footballing world when he chose to end his relationship with Ligue 1 giants LOSC Lille a few weeks back. The 32-year-old was an integral part of Les Dogues setup for
a long time and it was surprising to see him leave the club under such acrimonious circumstances.
“If I accept this termination, it is for many reasons, especially human, especially at the project level, I’m glad it has ended. If they (leaders of LOSC) did not make such a proposal, I would have stayed. They gave me this proposal, I accepted. Otherwise,
I would have stayed. I’m not sure that my departure will change anything to the situation of LOSC. It is not easy to be in this situation. In any relationship, all black or all white does not exist,” said Landreau after he left the club formally.

Reports now claim that Ligue 1 side, SC Bastia are willing to offer the former Paris Saint-Germain shot-stopper a chance to do so. I Turchini currently have one of the worst defensive records in the Championnat and are in pole position to acquire Landreau’s
services.
Reports claim that the keeper had a brief discussion with France manager Didier Deschamps who advised him to play regularly in order to continue getting call-ups for the national side.
