Mickael Pietrus still looking for a new home after Boston Celtics decline to re-sign him – NBA News

Mickael Pietrus is still looking for a new home after the Boston Celtics decided not to re-sign him to the roster for the upcoming season.
The French guard is a free agent at the moment and looking to sign with a new team. He has had some talks with teams, including the Milwaukee Bucks, but nothing concrete has been reported so far.
With him still on the market, the Minnesota Timberwolves are now exploring the possibility of signing him to the roster for next season.
Darren Wolfson, Minnesota television and radio personality, recently posted on twitter:
“Nothing concrete, but Kahn has spoken with Mickaël Piétrus’ camp. Suppose if Kahn moves a guard, he could become an option.”
Wolves General Manager David Kahn has been a busy man this summer, aggressively targeting the free agency and signing some very good players to the Wolves line-up to make them one of the contenders for the playoffs.
And Kahn is not yet finished, as he looks for role players to add to the roster to give it depth. Kahn is in talks with a few teams to trade one of the guards in his roster, so that he has the cash to sign Anthony Tolliver for
more than the minimum.
Pietrus is a nine year veteran in the league who spent much of his time with the Golden State Warriors and the Orlando Magic. He played for the Celtics last season, averaging 6.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in 21.9 minutes per game,
which are not very impressive figures.
Plus, Pietrus is not a very good shooter, and averaged 38.5 percent from the field this past season which is low for a guard. However, he does bring experience to the table and can handle a back up position quite nicely for any
team. Hence, it is expected that he will be signed by a team that is looking to add some depth to the roster and create a back up for one of the their guards.
