Mickey Arthur backs rotational policy – Cricket News Update
Australian new head coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mickey-Arthur-c1969 feels that the best way for the team to move forward is to rotate players, and ensure that the best playing XI is picked for various conditions.
His words come after http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ben-Cutting-c1132; however, his involvement also sees the changes
in policy for the Kangaroo management in terms of using players for diverse roles.
With http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978 an added option in the bowling department. Although it remains still unclear whether he will play in the second Test, his addition somewhat comes
as a surprise.
However, for Arthur it is a change in stance where he feels that the team will need to cope with these sudden rotational policies, which will eventually lead the side to achieve their long term goals.
"That's a maturity that we want to try to get into the group getting down the line," Arthur told ESPN cricinfo. "Players need to be mature enough to realise that it is a balance shift or something like that, and we'll communicate that all very well to the
guys and they'll understand exactly where they're at."
Regarding Christian’s inclusion, the new head coach added, "You always want that extra bowling option, an allrounder in the team is like gold. So with Shane [Watson] not playing there is a position there for an allrounder within our squad and the selectors
have felt the hat he's the next best.”
Although, many have voiced concerned over such radical changes, the new head coach’s stance firmly favours the Argus Recommendations, which highlights some pivotal transformation needed in the Australian structure, especially after the high-profile setbacks
suffered during the past two years.
With another crucial series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 approaching, time is running out for many players – the likes of Phil Hughes, however, in order for the team to move forward, such decisiveness will hold key to ensure that the team remains on course to claim their
lost glory.
