The Kangaroos won the first match of the series, whereas the home team made a comeback in the second encounter. The third match at Kingstown proved to be a cliff-hanger and it ended in a tie.
The Aussies started the series as favourites and the West Indies would be very happy with their performances so far and not letting the visitors to run away with the series.
Arthur, who has previously worked with the South African team, wants to see an improvement in the Australian team in the last two matches. He feels that the Kangaroos have not grabbed the little opportunities that have come their way.
The Aussie coach said, "We haven't played anywhere near the perfect game yet. We've made some bad mistakes in every game. We probably haven't done the basics well enough and we haven't done the one per centers well enough. We're sitting here at one-all."
On the other side of the coin, the home team will be very happy that their young cricketers have started to do well at the highest stage of the game. They have showed a fighting spirit in all three matches so far.
Arthur also praised the efforts of the young West Indian team and admitted that they have made it tough for the visitors, who are the number one ranked ODI team of the world.
"We're playing against a West Indies team that has never gone away, never rolled away. They seem to have a lot of spirit and they're really up for the fight but we've certainly missed opportunities to be 2-1 ahead," Arthur added.
