Mickmacmagoole likely to finish first in Handicap Hurdle
Mickmacmagoole is well-set to notch up top spot in the Higos Insurance Services Handicap Hurdle, a high-stakes event that will be held at Exeter racecourse on Tuesday, May 1. The race is scheduled to start at 2:20 (GMT).
The Class 4 contest over a distance of 2 miles and 1 furlong has received 24 entries. Mickmacmagoole’s competitors on the card include Pericoloso, San Marino, Queen Of Mantua, Qalinas, Calico Rose, Orion Express, Power Man, Ban Uisce, Furrows, Ruby Crown,
Withy Mills, Romeo Americo, Marchand D‘Argent, Petito, Red Rock, Felix Da Housecat, Leopard Hills, Don‘t Panic, Royal Riviera, Prankster, Diamond’s Return, Boogie Dancer and Exiles Return.
Mickmacmagoole possesses a fantastic track record. The 57-race veteran horse has 14 classic triumphs to his name. The trainee of Evan Williams started his career in April 2005. He has been a consistent performer throughout the time.
2011 was a successful year for the bay gelding as he excellently accomplished three victories. After winning two races in a row during February-March, he registered his third conquest on November 28.
The maverick horse elegantly clinched a 6th position each on February 26 and April 8, 2012. He nicely finished first in his last outing on April 23. This victory helped him gain a lot of confidence.
Currently, Mickmacmagoole poses to be the most experienced runner on the card. He is also awash with enthusiasm. If he manages to capitalise well on all these plus points, his chances to thrive will be as high as 92 percent.
Among the other horses, Diamond’s Return and Red Rock are also likely to struggle hard for success.
Diamond’s Return excellently claimed first position in his last start on April 27, 2012. The David Pipe-trained bay gelding was 5-6 favourite for that race. Overall, he has won 3 out of his total 9 starts so far since making his debut in July 2009.
On the other hand, Red Rock also finished first in his last outing on April 9, 2012. This was the maiden victory of Emma Lavelle’s bay gelding. He is carrying immense form at the moment.
Though there will be a fierce battle among the big adversaries of the sport but Mickmacmagoole is likely to pave his way towards victory emphatically. Good luck to all the contestants.
