Micro-braids making my head itch!?

I just got braids for the first time in my life a few days ago and my head is itching to high heaven! I've tried braid relief spray, tea tree oil, grease... its killing me! How long does this last? The whole two- three months that you have them in?

when ever i put moose in it it starts to itch but
before then it was fine

wash them. my braids itch also so I washed them. your scalp maybe dirty or dry
