Hello,

I recently had the birth control pill micronor prescribed to me and i am going to start it sometime next week. I am extremely ner\/ous to take it because of side effects(i know all bc pills ha\/e them). I had it switched because i suffer from mirgranes and cannot ha\/e the combined pill. I was just wondering if anyone has taken this pill and what side effects you ha\/e gotten? I am hoping my b*****s might get enlarged! if something is going to happen that would be nice! anyways was just wondering if you could tell me how it made you feel after taking it and how it effected your periods? thanks a bunch!

  1. Something that is extremely common with Micronor is that people can get extremely irregular periods--this is because there's no estrogen in the pills, and therefore you don't get the same period regulation you'd get on pills with estrogen. Some people have spotting all the way through their packs, some people have spotting a few days a month, and some people have barely any spotting at all.

Another issue is to make sure that you take the pills at the EXACT SAME TIME everyday. If you're even two hours late taking a pill, make sure to use a backup method of condoms or abstinence for the next 48 hours. This is because progestin-only pills work differently from pills containing estrogen, so they can be extremely ineffective if you miss pills or take them late.
