Microphone Problem?

When recording with my microphone it records all vibration in the room, it records the vibration when i touch it but it doesn't record my voice. I'm using protools and digidesign minibox.

  1. What kind of microphone you using?  

    Condenser or Dynamic?  

    I hope it's not a $15 mic from radio shack or something, because you won't good quality from it.  

    Well the Mbox 2 Mini shoud have LED lights to represent the levels of the input.  Red means clipping, green-yellow is good!  Sing into it, it doesn't have to be recording, and turn up the gain / input level until you see green, and on your loud voice you want yellow.  

    Also make sure in Pro Tools when you create a new track, that you see the green level bars moving when trying to use the mic.  Also make sure you have it set for recording.
