Microphone for camcorder?

its a DXG-589V digital camcorder...i wanna start "vlogging" soon..but the built in mic sucks BIG TIME..i need a good microphone..i dont know what to look for..so some suggestions would be perfect.

Why would you want to buy a mic if you can't connect the mic to the camcorder? It does not have a mic-in jack.

In this case, a field recorder like those from M-Audio or Zoom or Marantz would be used to capture your audio, then when the video from the camcorder and the audio from the field recorder are in your computer, mute the audio from the camcorder and replace it with the audio from the field recorder.
