when i type after the line that flashes that indicates thats where ur place is to the right of that theres like a backwards p thats like bold wat is that p and also how can u remove it becuz its annoying thank u all

on the "home" ribbon you'll see an icon that looks like a paragraph symbol (backwards P).  Click on it to turn off the symbols in your document.
