Microsoft Excel Help Please!?

Could anyone tell me how to copy and paste a group of cells that depend on other cells. They are functions of other cells so when I move them they produce either 0 or "REF!" What I would like is just to copy the data that is shown inside the cell.

thank you!!!

  1. If you want to paste just the answers (the values) and not the formula's themselves, then paste special > values is the way to go.

If you are reorganizing the layout of your sheet and want to move formula cells somewhere else, select the range and then drag and drop it to where you want it to go.  Do this by grabbing any edge of the selection, but not by the bottom right corner / black square (which will drag/copy instead of move).

  2. You'll need to tell Excel that you are only trying to copy the data of the cell.

1 Copy the cells that you want

2 Right click on the cell where you want to paste it

3 From the drop down menu, choose "Paste Special"

4 Choose values (you can try choosing other options to see if you get  the result you want)

    Kind Regards
