  1. open that microsoft messenger (the program) in toolbar click tools check to not check mark with " always on top" .right click icon messenger live (near the clock) - click exit . now this program not open ever just you open it. good luck !

  2. it may be referring to the messenger service rather than MSN messenger, start menu run service.msc and find the messenger service and set to disable, more below but this should be disabled in any case as it can pose a security risk

  3. I recommend installing the latest messenger :

If you have 'Microsoft Messenger',Windows messenger or windows live messenger at the same time & you want to choose only one. First uninstall all of them ( you can uninstall them for add or remove programs in the control panel ), then install the latest messenger which is 'Windows live messenger'.

Download Windows live messenger from : http://messenger.live.com

    ---

After all this, if your BT speed test asks you to close 'Windows live messenger' right click on the icon from the toolbar & click 'Exit'.

  4. Go to:

start>run> type in "msconfig" without the quotes> hit enter or run> click the start up tab > uncheck anything you don't want to start up on start up.
