I need to cut a circular area out of a picture. My free-form is too sloppy looking. Regular select gives me a square. Is there some trick to getting a circle?

  1. Right next to the square there is a star looking thing I believe, you can use that to make what ever shape you want.

  2. I'm sorry, I don't know how to do that.

But you can get paint.net, it's a better version of microsoft paint and you can do better and more artistic things with it.

Just google 'paint.net' and voila.  There's a circle selection tool in this one which makes it so much easier, a circle and an elliptical tool.
