Microsoft Service Pack 2 = EVIL?

Question

My PC just got reformated from sratch and it's blank... NOT EVEN A SERVICE PACK!! Which means i can't have internet explorer7 or windows media 11 or msn live messenger... or any of those programs and more!!! Thats why i decided to download it... but when i did.. it asked me to reboot my PC and then it messed up the monitor settings.. Like it was at 4 bit rate and the PC was basically in ''Safe mode'' excepted internet was working and everything else too.

Thing is, i couldn't change the 4 bit thing since it was the only thing there!! So i removed it in add/rem programs.

But now i'm still stuck with NOTHING and i can't do anything...

h**l... I CAN'T EVEN INSTALL MICROSOFT OFFICE...

PLEASE HELP!

After installing the service pack then u may need to reinstall the drivers.

Reinstall XP again, update it to SP3, install all the drivers (in your case especially the video driver), reboot twice, adjust the screen resolution from  - right click on desktop,Properties,Settings, in Screen resolution put the default from your monitor,Apply,OK, and  install all the others - IE7, etc...
