Every time I try to download Microsoft Silver light this message comes up, "Microsoft Silver light is not supported on your computer. Your CPU does not support the SSE instruction set which is required by Silver light." I have Windows XP and verizon dsl on my computer. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

  1. Try using another internet browser.

  2. Try Firefox, its nothing much silverlight just bright it out alittle.. not much differences.

  3. i had the same problem. you know silverlight is just an internet browser. right? i would use firefox over a microsoft IE any day of the week. they can never get their pop up blockers to actually do their job like firefox can. in the past year, ive had maybe 20 popups, and around 343483204830 with IE :)

  4. To my knowledge Sliverlight it's a flash player. but Adobe flash player is much better than Silverlight.

Make yourself a favor and download adobe flash player. I have Vista and since I purchased it I never download the Silverlight update

  5. Go with Firefox. Free, fast, reliable and more secure than the Microsoft browsers.
