When I open a folder on a CD or Flash, the default view is Tiles.

  1. Should be in your window's toolbar. Where it says, "Files" or "View." It's a drop-down list.

  2. There's a view on the menu bar. Click on it and select select Tiles.

  3. Usefull Software-

  4. Look for a "Views" button, it's right next to the "Folders" button. Click it and it should give a list of viewing options.

  5. Do your temporary fix from the View on the toolbar.. After that.. Click tools -> folder options -> view -> Apply to All Folders.

    Done

Ok one edit.. This might not work for CDs... Try and reply if it doesn't work for CDs.

  6. at the very top of the window you generally have the options, file, edit, view, etc..... click on view, and then it should give you the option's to choose to either view it in tile, list, icons, large icons, etc. if your in vista howerver you just have to click on the second button to the right under the adress bar called "view" and then just scroll up for larger views and down for lower views like details and list.

IF for some reason you dont have the options to see file, edit, view etc simply press the Alt. button within the window that you're trying to alter the view type.

  7. click on view at the top
