Question:

Microsoft Word question about line spacing?

How do I change the look of my text in Microsoft Word? It has an annoying double spaced look to it. Is it actually double spaced. It looks like it "says" single space. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I want it to be, and look, single spaced on the computer screen.

  1. yes i know what you mean and it is very annoying. on the home tab, under paragraph, there is a line spacing option (the icon has two arrows). select the text you want to turn into a single line and then select "remove space after paragraph" from the icon

    Hope this helps

  2. Right click on the general page.

    Go to 'Paragraph'.

In 'Indents and spacing' there is a third section with a drop down box called 'line spacing'. Change this to 'single'- at the moment it sounds like it is on 'double'.

This should solve your problem :]

EDIT: If that doesn't work, adjust the two numerical boxes named before and after.
