Question:

Microsoft XP password bypass?

I got a laptop for graduation in 2005. It ended up getting so many viruses on it (my guess is from crack websites for computer games) so I just put it up for the passed year and used my husbands computer. Now, as a new mother, student, and full time worker, I decided I needed the computer again. However, I completely forgot my password! I only logged in as Administrator in the past, and I am going to reformat it anyway because of all of the viruses, but I have so many pictures I want to save.

Does anyone know how to bypass the password or to access a stored database? I really don't want to lose all of those pictures....

Thanks

  1. Download the ubuntu live cd iso and burn it to a disk then boot your computer with that disk. From the OS desktop to to places and then go to computer. From there find all the files you want to keep and put them to a removable media. No need to reset the admin password. There is actually a way to reset the passord and soon I will post the step by step tutorial on my website, the link to which is in my profile.

  2. Hi there, usually the hidden Administrator account isn'tt password protected.

So when you start the laptop, keep pressing F8 and it will start in safe mode, then just choose Administrator account.

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts

Select account which is password protected, and then click on Delete the password.

  3. Yes, you can still get into your computer. With Windows XP, there is an Administrator account that most people cont realize is on their computer. This is a over all account that gives you access to your computer. All you need to do is boot up your computer and hit the CTRL ALT DELETE keys. When you get a prompt to enter a login and password, just type in Administrator and leave the password field blank. You can then get into the other users directories through the C: drive. Hope this helps!

    **O&O'S Format Recovery 4.

Restart the PC, press F8 simultaneously until a booting screen pops up.

    Select Safe Mode

Microsoft adds it's own Administrator account w/o a password when in safe mode.

Log on to that account and change the password of the account you forgot.

    Restart.

Hopefully the Administrator account is still active. =o

  5. go to google and search for ophcrack basically what it is a iso so you have to burn the program to a cd once you do that take it to your laptop and once you turn it on press i think f12 but im not sure but you need to change the boot to cd

it should get every single password on that pc
