Microsoft Xbox 360 -or- Sony PlayStation 3???

Question

Which one would you buy, taking in to consideration... well everything, games, features, price, pros and cons etc.

Your opinion will be much appreciated. Thanks

as in the first answer , you could have searched the one trillion and counitng questions and read all the previous answeres, but you wanted details so here they are;

As a long term investment the PS3 is the better buy, it has Blu-ray, where as 360 is still running SD DVD's. also currnetly the games are using less than 40% of the PS3's cores so games in the next two years will slolwly double in quality, where a 360 is currnelty at full power.

Features such as Home and Life with Playstation will be implemente by the end of the year, currently the only announced new feature of the 360 is the new Dashboard and Mii's, oops, "Avatars"

the 360, due to it's year head start, currnelty has more games, so on short term its a good purchase, with 1+years worth of Live it will soon cost you more than PS3.

Features of both:

HD games

COD4, GTA IV, Assains Creed, FFXII etc

Live/PSN(live ifs $40 per year, PSN is free)

downloadable Games and Demos

Movie downlaod service ( though only in US) (with Pal regions gettign the PS3 service next year)

Replaceble HDD (though 360 is expensive Xbox only drive, Ps3 can use any laptop drive)

360 only:

Comes wiht HD component cables, PS3 only has SD composote cables

Sales subsidized by the fact MS is ****ing rolling in it = cheaper console, and can buy PS3 exlcusives for 360 customers

HD-DVD palyer, cos it lost format war its a cheap way to get HD movies on the 360

Colour changing ring on the front.

Has Halo and GoW, thats it. if someone starts listing games that arent over a year old, then ill be more lienient on 360 owners.

8-core Cell processor (As used in the worlds fastest PC)

Blu-Ray Disc player

Motion Sensitive controller

Built in Wi-i, thats another $80 to get that on 360.

A 10 year business plan, Ms have mentioend none so dont look surprised if 360 pops out in 2 years. (xbox was only 3 years old when 360 appeared)

Built in web browser, when they make it in-game that means walkthroughs on demand :D

Regualrly adds new user- requested features. and not dumping a new interface on users when they dont want it.

yes im sort of a fan boy, though unlike msot i cna provide links and articles to back up my claims, not jsut "PS3/360 is better, get it!!!!!!"

i have neither. i was considering buying a 360 but i found out it has loads of issues. ex)there is something call the red ring of death.that's when your 360 is going 2 die.this red ring of death happens like every two years.but after i saw e3,i am definitely getting a ps3! it is worth your money and it has a ton of spacial features.ex)playstation network where u can download games and movies. also if your going to play on line with your ps3 it is free!all u need is a good wifi connection.the 360 u need to pay to play on line. so i say get a ps3. get either the 60gb or 80gb. the only difference is the memory.i hope i helped.also the ps3 has no red ring of death or nothing it will never break.

I have an XBOX 360.

I am extremely happy with it for a few resons.

1. I dont have to install games like the PS3

2. The quality of games are better overall

3. The system update coming this fall will completely revolutionize the way we play XBOX

4. LIVE

5. Arcade games and demos before PS3
