Microsoft Access is a software package which lets you set up a database.

You enter (common) details into specified fields to create the database and save it.

You can then 'Question' that database, using the Query function to produce a table of entries with the requested particular details.

That's the basics.... but to get the best you need to understand how it works to enable you to structure the fields so that you can 'ask' the minimum to get the best results.
