Microsoft freelancer wont work on vista can anyone help me sort this out?

ive tryed playing my favorate space sim freelancer on vista but it wont get past the 2nd cut scene in the bar. just before you meet juno

im told that its vista is there any patches to solve this problem?

Is the program version compatible with windows vista?

Try to run it in compatibility mode by right clicking the program's exe >> properties >> compatibility tab >> run this program on compatibility mode >> choose a windows which is compatible with the program >> apply >> ok
